Members of the Essex Club include Governers of New Jersey, Senators, Assemblymen, judges, lawyers, publishers, leaders inpolitics, business and professional people. In 1909 the membership was 250 members. The building at 44 Park Place was built over 100 years ago by a brother of Commodore Decator.
