Lincoln Memorial

Court House Plaza

The Lincoln Memorial was sculpted by John Gutzon de la Borglum.  It is a bronze figure 6 feet 6 inches high, seated on a base of granite 29 feet 4 inches across the front and a depth of 20 feet 10 inches, arranged in four gradations.  It was a gift from the late Amos H. Van Horn and was unveiled on Memorial Day, 1911 with Theodore Roosevelt in attendance.
