Robert Toth - Robert Toth was born in Newark in 1939. He graduated from the Newark School of Fine and Industrial Art going on to become a Designer for Congoleum Ind. Kearny NJ. He collaborated with Theodore Edison in 1974 while creating a portrait of his father, Thomas Edison. He also created Men of Music Bronze sculptures for Lincoln Center in NYC.

East Newark - In late spring of the year 1895, a group of citizens, from what was then the First Ward of the Town of Kearny, became dissatisfied with the neglect of their interests. For their tax dollars they wanted a larger say in governing their district. They set about to establish a new borough and named it: "The Borough of East Newark."  Site maintained by Ken Forbes.

  The New Jersey Historical Society has an extensive museum and library collection of objects, material culture, manuscripts, genealogical resources, photographs and more available to the public for onsite research.  They relocated from 230 Broadway in Newark to the 1926 historic building at 52 Park Place (formerly the Essex Club) several years ago.

New Jersey Institute of Technology Archives - The mission of the NJIT Attic is to collect, document, and display -- in both digital and traditional formats -- items, objects, information, and records that tell the corporate and social living history of NJIT and its predecessors.
