2.  The GI Bill of Rights (Servicemen's Readjustment Act of 1944 was signed into law on June 22, 1944.  The "Bill" offered qualified World  War II veterans (l) Helping finding jobs to match their work skills; (2) Up to a year of unemployment compensation; (3)  Guaranteed home, farm, or business loans; (4) Education or educational training for up to four years.  (Out of a total veteran population of 15,440,000, 7.8 million obtained training under the GI Bill).
